Started as a child now we’re here and adulting can be stressful and boring as hell if we don’t watch out. Every once in a while I am reminded to do a few things that use to make me happy as a child. Here are my top 7 kiddie joys.
1. Skip
I take the easy way out sometime and take my toddler out and simply skip along with her. Every once in a while I will bust out in a light skip while someone is around and it will crack me the hell up as well as the passerby. Go head give it a try. Grab a child’s hand, your boyfriends or your homegirls and live a little.
2. Blow Bubbles
It was magical as a kid and still maintains its magic.
3. Color outside the lines
Grab a coloring book and color outside the lines. That was one thing that was frowned upon as a child but hell you’re grown now and bought the damn coloring book. Have fun
4. Swing
Go to the local park and swing on a swing. I would suggest bringing a child (random adults in a child park is creepy but permissable) and pump those legs while listening to the squeakiness of the chain and throw that head back and laugh.
5. Take a Bubble Bath
Here we go with bubbles again but there is nothing like them. Go to the store and pick up some Mr. Bubble and go crazy. Nothing is more fun and luxurious than sitting in a tub filled with foamy bubbles.
6. Jump Rope, Better yet Play Double Dutch
Lemon on Lime Gotta Be on Time…, 5,4,3,21. Get a phone cord from one of your boys that works at Verizon and get it poppin. We ahd the best sing alongs to go with straight rope or double dutch. You could be out jumping all night long.
7. Build a fort for adults only.
Get your pillows blankets and a good movie or book, maybe even a friend or two and chill out in a fort eating junk just because.
